LOOP Shutdown due to Sheen

On August 13th LOOP's Offshore Marine Terminal suspended its crude oil offloading operations while investigating an oil sheen discovered along the LOOP pipeline right-of-way. Sheening continued in the area of the pipeline. Therefore, activities to expose the line for more detailed inspection and repair, if confirmed, are now underway and will continue through the weekend. A detailed work plan is under development, but it is expected that marine offloading and main oil pipeline operations will not resume within the next 4 days. An update will follow at 18:00 today, August 14th . These activities do not affect LOOP's onshore operations at the Clovelly Hub and deliveries of crude oil continue on schedule.
