Lockdown extended, some relaxation expected

India’s Ministry of Home Affairs has extended the nationwide lockdown for further two weeks beyond today, expected to continue till 18 May.

The extension is expected to see some relaxations, based on the spread of the virus in districts, identified as RED (hotspot), GREEN & ORANGE Zones, with relaxation anticipated in GREEN & ORANGE Zones.

Shipping movements are expected to perform at improved levels as industrial activities resume in phases. Specifically, demand and movement is expected to gain momentum in the coming days.
