Lockdown extended

In his address on Monday (13 April), H.E. Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, announced an extension of the country’s COVID-19 lockdown.

The current restriction of movement in Lagos and Ogun States as well as the FCT is extended for another 14 days effective from 11:59 pm on Monday, 13 April.

For vessels calling at Nigerian ports, essential cargo is given preference for clearing. Backlogs in ports are to be expected.

Crew changes are covered by the same 14 day protocol as incoming passengers.

There are no international flights except for essential cargoes, which take preference for customs clearing procedures, and repatriation of various countries’ citizens. There are no domestic flights between Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja. For cargo flights – essential cargo is given priority.
