King George Dock Lock in Hull will be closed to all shipping between 0900 and 1300 hours on Monday (24 March) to allow urgent repair works to be completed. From 1300 on 24 March until approximately 1800 on Friday 28 March, the Easter Outer Gate will be operated by a combination of a tug boat and shore mounted winch. It is anticipated that this will increase penning times by approximately 30 minutes, consequently there will be a maximum of around 16 pens per day. Depending on the progress of the work, a second four-hour closure may be required towards the end of the 5-day period. (For information about operations in the UK contact GAC UK at [email protected])
