Vessel loading and discharging at the port of Tutunciftik is continuing as normal and without any problems today (18 April), despite a fire which broke out at the TUPRAS refinery crude oil unit during maintenance works at 22:40 hours last night (17 April).
The TUPRAS fire fighting unit responded immediately and the fire was extinguished by 23:45 hours, however initial reports state that one worker died and four were hospitalised with severe burns.
