A lightning alert has been issued for the area 10 km around PCFC - Dubai Anchorage.
The initial strike which triggered this alert was at 01:40 hours today (Friday 19 December), 9 km west of the anchorage. It comes after a warning of a high risk of squalls associated with thunderstorm/thundershower at the port of Fujairah.
Meanwhile, operations at Jebel Ali terminal have resumed after being temporarily suspended due to heavy rain and strong winds. Marine operations at Fujairah also resumed to one-way traffic after being suspended late last night.
Three low pressure systems over the Northern Gulf Waters, the Gulf of Oman and central Iran will retain unsettled conditions over the region today.
