The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has advised that it has no objection to the laying-up of vessels at suitable anchor positions in the anchorages of any of its designated commercial ports.
As vessels must be safely manned due to being laid up at open anchorages, subject to prevailing weather conditions, no cold lay-ups will be permitted. Manning shall be as per approvals of the respective Flag states and SLPA approval must be obtained.
