The Kiel Canal dues will remain suspended beyond 2020 until 31 December 2021.
The suspension of traffic dues is a very important step in restoring the competitiveness of the Canal.
There has not been a single COVID-19 case among its pilots, helmsmen and agents, making the Kiel Canal the safest and most cost-efficient shortcut into and out of the Baltic Sea.
