International flight arrivals to resume

09 May 2020 / Philippines

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines has announced that international flight arrivals will resume at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Monday (11 May) with chartered and commercial planes scheduled on specific days.

All commercial flights at the main international airport in Manila, and eight other airports in the country, were halted a week ago as part of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Emergency, cargo, military, and maintenance flights were allowed to continue.

The airport will operate on limited capacity, with a cap on passenger arrivals. Restricted flight arrangements will remain in effect until 10 June at the Manila airport.
