Installation of pontoon at Changi Ferry Terminal

From 27 March to 31 May, work to install a pontoon is being carried out at Changi Ferry Terminal.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.032 of 2018, the work is being carried out 24 hours daily – including Public Holidays – within a working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 22.483’N / 104 deg. 00.515’E
2) 01 deg. 22.485’N / 104 deg. 00.529’E
3) 01 deg. 22.423’N / 104 deg. 00.531’E
4) 01 deg. 22.424’N / 104 deg. 00.517’E

The pontoon will be installed by crane barges. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft of the work.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area
b) Maintain a proper lookout
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control)
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
