Installation of jetty & floating pontoons at Coney Island

From 15 January to 14 July, work to install a jetty and floating pontoons is being carried out off Coney Island.

According to Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.004 of 2022, the work is being conducted from 0800 to 1900 hours daily - including Sundays and Public Holidays - at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01⁰ 24.320’N / 103⁰ 55.763’E
2) 01⁰ 24.378’N / 103⁰ 55.816’E
3) 01⁰ 24.320’N / 103⁰ 55.880’E
4) 01⁰ 24.259’N / 103⁰ 55.825’E

The installation of jetty and floating pontoons will be carried out by crane barge and supported by work barges and tug boats. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during working hours.

Craft involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control for assistance, if required.
