Mongla Port Authority has issued instructions to be strictly followed with immediate effect for the submission of accurate, timely information for Pilot booking, cancellation and Ship Ready time.
a) All pilot booking requests for each day must be submitted within 1430 hours. No pilot booking will be accepted after the specified time.
b) Pilot booking cancellation requests must be submitted within the following specified time.
Cancellation requests received after the specified time will be charged at the prevailing rate:
- For arriving ships, pilot cancellation must be confirmed by 18:00 hours every day.
- For departing ships, pilot cancellation must be confirmed 8 hours before the ready time of the specific ship.
c) Pilot booking/cancellation applications must be sent to the email address: [email protected].
d) Application for pilot booking should be made after Ship Ready Time (SRT) is confirmed. If the stipulated time is exceeded, cancellation charge along with penalty will be applicable and pilot booking will have to be done again.
e) If any discrepancy is observed in the information declared during the SRT and booking of the ship after the pilot boards the ship, the movement of the ship will be cancelled by the concerned pilot in the interest of Navigational Safety and overall consideration. In this case, cancellation charges along with fines will be applicable.
