The Jefferson and Orange County Board of Pilot Commissioners has agreed to the Sabine Pilots’ request for an increase in rates, as follows:
Annual Rate Increase
Effective January 1, 2025 – Rate increase by 12%
Effective January 1, 2026 – Rate increase by 11%
Effective January 1, 2027 – Rate increase by 11%
Effective January 1, 2028 – Rate increase based on PPI (Producer Price Index), with 4% floor and 7.5% ceiling
Effective January 1, 2029 – Rate increase based on PPI (Producer Price Index), with 4% floor and 7.5% ceiling
New Pilot Vessel Increase
Effective January 1, 2025 – Increased rate of $248.00 per movement
Effective January 1, 2026 – Increased rate of $285.20 per movement
Effective January 1, 2027 – Increased rate of $327.98 per movement
New Over 40 Feet Draft Charge
Drafts Over 40.1 feet to 42 feet – 25% over and above the normal pilot rate
Drafts Over 42.1 feet to 44 feet – 35% over and above the normal pilot rate
Drafts Over 44.1 feet – 50% over and above the normal pilot rate
