Immigration inward formalities

Following discussions with the Fujairah Immigration Department, the Port of Fujairah has announced the following inward immigration formalities, effective immediately:

  • Document to obtain “Immigration In” may be submitted 24 hours prior the berthing of the vessel
  • Berthing of vessels should be confirmed and their names listed in the shipping list of the Operations Department or FOTT before submitting documents to the Immigration Department
  • In case of difficulty in obtaining “Immigration In”, the matter should be reported to the respective Department (Operations or FOTT) and subsequently the slot will be given to the next vessel in the queue
  • Within the first three hours of the vessel being alongside berth, a copy of Immigration Inward Clearance must be submitted to the respective Department (Operations or FOTT) and Control Tower
  • Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the termination of cargo operations and unberthing of the vessel without further notice, including legal actions against the ship’s local agent in Fujairah.

Vessels calling at Fujairah are urged to strictly adhere to the aforementioned practice to avoid issues or delays at the terminals.
