Heavy swell warning for Mauritius, Rodrigues and ST Brandon issued at 16h15 on Monday 28 July 2025, valid as from 10h00 Tuesday 29 July til 16h00 on Thursday 31 July 2025.
High-energy swells are approaching the Mascarenes from the south-west and will influence the sea state around Mauritius as from Tuesday 29 July 2025 and eventually at Rodrigues and St Brandon.
The open sea will gradually become very rough with swells and the wave height will be of the order of 4 metres.
The waves may break along with low-lying coastal areas especially during high tides to the west and south of Mauritius and Rodrigues.
