17 May 2019 / Indonesia
Due to public holidays for Eid Ul Fitri, most government departments in Indonesia - including Customs - will be closed or operating with reduced manning from 30 May to 9 June.
As a result, they will not be available for normal processing of services during this period. Import and export shipments arriving or departing will experience significant delays in clearance and delivery which may result in additional demurrage and storage charges.
There is also a restriction regarding inland transportation of cargo throughout the holiday period.
PT. GAC Samudera Freight Services recommends:
- IMPORT shipments: Latest cargo arrival 28 May
- EXPORT shipments: Latest cargo departure 29 May
- Inland transport: Latest cargo delivery to consignee 25 May
