The Australian Government has announced a rise in Fuel Tax from the present 38.143 cents per litre to 38.600 cpl with effect from 1 November 2014. For Coastal Shipping, the rate payable for Bunker Excise on coastal bunkers consumed will become 38.600 cpl, with the Excise Rebate remaining at 100% due to the removal of the Carbon Tax from 1 July. Indexation of fuel duty will return to biannual CPI Indexation from 1 February 2015. For information about operations in Australia contact GAC Australia at [email protected]
