Fire after ships collide

A fire broke out on two container ships at Port Klang last night (28 October) after they brushed against one another. One of the ships was towed away from Westport berth to prevent the blaze spreading, and several tug boats were sent to the scene to douse the flames with seawater. The second ship was allowed to remain at the berth as its fire was quickly extinguished. No-one was injured in the incident, and an investigation has been launched.
