Vessels calling at ports in Türkiye should make timely arrangements for spares, provisions, Cash To Master, voyage orders, etc. as all official institutions and banks will be closed from 12:00 hours local time today (19 March) until 09:00 on 23 March, due to the Feast of Ramadan.
A 50% pilotage surcharge will apply for Turkish Straits between these dates.
Some ports may suspend operations during this period, or charges for official services (pilotage, towage, mooring, customs, etc.) will be increased by 50%, so it is important to check prior to calling any Turkish port.
GAC in Türkiye will be on duty during the holiday period.
