Extension of restrictions

Sri Lanka has extended the shutdown of inbound commercial passenger flights to its international airports until 2359 hours local time on 7 April.

The current curfew in the districts Colombo, Gampaha, Kaluthara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna will continue until further notice.

For the rest of the country (including the ports of Galle, Hambantota and Trincomalee, was in force until 0600 today (30 March) and re-imposed at 1400 hours.

During the hours of curfew, movement from one district to another is completely banned except for essential services.
