Establishment of Restricted Area & closure of landing steps off Wan Chai Basin

A Restricted Area will be established on 9 (rehearsal) and 10 (event day) July 2025, from 1800 hours to 2200 hours, at the waters off Wan Chai Basin to facilitate a drone performance.

The Restricted Area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 16.986’N / 114 deg. 10.638’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.178’N / 114 deg. 10.638’E
(C) 22 deg. 17.178’N / 114 deg. 10.890’E
(D) 22 deg. 17.070’N / 114 deg. 10.890’E
(E) 22 deg. 17.052’N / 114 deg. 10.860’E

During the aforementioned periods, the landing steps of Wan Chai Bypass Landing No.5 (HP162) and No.6 (HP163) will be temporarily closed.

Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the periods of closure. Other than Government launches, no vessels will be allowed to enter or remain within the Restricted Area.

In the event of inclement weather or emergency, the fallback date of the event day would be 11 July 2025.
