The Indian Government has designated Adani Karaikal Port as an authorized Immigration Check Post (ICP) for entry into/exit from India for all classes of vessel crew and passengers holding valid travel documents.
The ICP will reduce time, effort and costs associated with transporting crew members to other locations for immigration clearance and crew change formalities.
Operations began on June 23, 2026.
The ICP facilitates sign-on and sign-on formalities for coastal and foreign-going vessel crew. It is equipped with all mandatory infrastructure, including biometric systems, passport scanning equipment and connectivity with the National Informatics Centre.
