Dredging operations inside Government Dockyard

For approximately eight months, dredging operations will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (G) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 19.384'N / 114° 08.488'E
(B) 22° 19.440'N / 114° 08.547'E
(C) 22° 19.426'N / 114° 08.562'E
(D) 22° 19.481'N / 114° 08.620'E
(E) 22° 19.424'N / 114° 08.681'E
(F) 22° 19.330'N / 114° 08.581'E
(G) 22° 19.350'N / 114° 08.559'E

The works will be carried out by one derrick lighter. One hopper barge and one tugboat will provide assistance. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around the derrick lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the derrick lighter.

A silt curtain which is a large piece of netting to contain mud and sediments extending from the sea surface to the seabed will be established within the works area. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the extent of the silt curtain.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 2300 hours daily. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
