For approximately seven months from June 2026, dredging operations are being conducted in Kwai Tsing Container Basin.
The works will be carried out by a grab dredger and a derrick lighter with assistance from two tugboats and a hopper barge will provide assistance. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
A working area of approximately 50 metres is established around the dredger and lighter with yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of their anchors.
A silt curtain will be established beside the dredger and lighter with yellow flashing lights to mark its extent.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
