Dredging at Benoi Basin

From 08 September 2025 to 28 February 2026, dredging works will be carried out at Benoi Basin (Jetties 4-6).

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.115 of 2025, the work will be conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & public holidays - at sea, within the working area bound by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1. 01°18.038'N / 103°40.929'E
2. 01°17.957'N / 103°40.940'E
3. 01°17.954'N / 103°40.913'E
4. 01°18.035'N / 103°40.903'E

Dredging works will be carried out by grab dredger which will be held in position by four anchors. The dredged materials will be loaded onto hopper barges. Pusher tugboat would transport the loaded hopper barge to designated dumping ground for disposal.

Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the work will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
