Due to the consistent achievement of sufficient accuracy by unaugmented Global Navigation Satellite Systems for maritime navigation requirements, the Hydrographic Office of the Marine Department shall discontinue its DGPS correction service effective from 1 January 2027.
After this date, mariners may utilise alternative correction services from other providers, including nearby Differential Global Navigation Satellite System (DGNSS) stations listed in the Table of DGNSS Stations under the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities.
