From 5 January to 30 June, demolition works are being conducted at Sembawang Camp Jetty.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.02 of 2023 dated 3 January 2023, the works will be carried out from 0800 to 1900 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - at Southern Tuas Basin, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°28.262’N / 103°49.150'E
2) 01°28.222'N / 103°49.145'E
3) 01°28.233'N / 103°49.094'E
4) 01°28.283'N / 103°49.123'E
The demolition works will be carried out by excavators and barge assisted by tug boats.
A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control on VHF Channel 21 for assistance, if required.
