For approximately 6 months, marine works involving demolition of temporary piers will be carried out within the following areas:

WORKS AREA 1:
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22 deg. 16.860’N / 114 deg. 02.702’E
(B) 22 deg. 16.830’N / 114 deg. 02.716’E
(C) 22 deg. 16.816’N / 114 deg. 02.682’E
(D) 22 deg. 16.821’N / 114 deg. 02.680’E

WORKS AREA 2:
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (H) and the adjacent shoreline:
(E) 22 deg. 15.845’N / 114 deg. 03.065’E
(F) 22 deg. 15.873’N / 114 deg. 03.055’E
(G) 22 deg. 15.881’N / 114 deg. 03.091’E
(H) 22 deg. 15.850’N / 114 deg. 03.100’E

Several sections of silt curtains, extending from the sea surface to the seabed, will be established within each works area. The silt curtain is a large piece of netting used to contain mud and sediments. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the extent of the silt curtains.

The works will be carried out by three derrick lighters. One tugboat and one work boat will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 50 metres will be established around each lighter. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the lighters.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will not stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
