Demolition and reinstatement of shipyard facilities in Benoi Basin

The working period for shipyard demolition and reinstatement works at Benoi Basij has been extended, and the work will now continue until 10 January 2026.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.94 of 2025, the work is being conducted between 0800 and 1900 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1 01°18.367'N / 103°40.972'E
2 01°18.368'N / 103°40.952'E
3 01°18.540'N / 103°40.933'E
4 01°18.539'N / 103°40.945'E

Construction work involves the demolition and reinstatement of marine facilities in the working area assisted by tugboats and barges.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control) and Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
