Cyclonic Storm Shakti weakening

Severe Cyclonic Storm Shakhti, which caused heavy rainfall in western India, will gradually weaken by tomorrow (7 October).

Sea conditions are likely to remain rough to very rough along the Gujarat-North Maharashtra coast. Coastal Gujarat districts including Dwarka, Jamnagar and Surat, may see heavy rainfall during this period.

The DW-II warning signal has been hoisted but operations at ports in the region continue as normal with no stoppages reported.
