Crew changes resume at anchorage

Crew changes have resumed for vessels calling at Khorfakkan anchorage in the UAE.

According to verbal advice received, which may be subject to change without prior notice, the new procedure is as follows:

  1. Arabic letter issued by the Agent addressed to Khorfakkan Immigration stating reasons for crew sign on/off along with below details.
    - Vessel details
    - Vessel ETA
    - Crew information
    - Flight information
    Attachments;
    - Crew Passport copy and Seaman Book.
    - Confirmed flight ticket to his home country (Off Signers)
    - Health Declaration of the crew member by Master of Vessel (Off Signers)

  2. Arabic letter issued by the Agent will be submitted to Covid-19 committee by Khorfakkan Immigration Department for approval.
    Note: Approval may take approximately 8-10 days.

  3. Upon approval, Immigration Department will open online system for 96 hours visa for on/off signers.

  4. Agent to apply 96 hours visa for the on/off crew.

  5. Agent to get Port endorsement from port authorities.

  6. Upon issuance of Visa, crew member can embark/disembark the vessel.
    Note: Off Signers must have a confirmed flight ticket.

  7. All crew members entering the UAE are required to provide a negative PCR test certificate on arrival at Dubai Airport (taken within 96 hours before arrival at Dubai).
    All positive COVID-19 cases will be quarantined for 14 days, with travelers bearing the costs of treatment and isolation.

  8. Upon Visa approval and confirmation of flight, crew may depart to Dubai, adhering to their own respective country rules and regulations.

  9. Immigration authorities will scan the passport and crew member will be submitted to a physical inspection at the port office.

  10. Thereafter, the crew member will be taken directly to airport, escorted by Police.
    Note: Crew member not allowed to stay in hotels.

  11. Crew member will be screened by Health Authority officials prior taking to Airport Immigration and undergo a Covid-19 Rapid test at the Airport.
