The process of conducting crew changes via commercial flights for foreign seafarers in Sri Lanka has been formally approved and a Private Public Partnership has been appointed to assist ship agents.
The process includes PCR tests conducted on all foreign crew members, stays at an isolation centre and onward repatriation via sea/ airport. Currently 300 foreign seafarers are allowed in Sri Lanka at a given time.
