Arrangements for crew changes in Thailand have been eased, with conditions.
For on-signing crew, the first step should be to contact the Royal Thai Embassy where the joining crew members is resident to request a letter of approval to enter Thailand. It is understood that flight booking will be provided by the Embassy, according to flight permit announcement from Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand.
For off-signing crew, the process is similar. A letter must be obtained from the Royal Thai Embassy at the vessel’s port stay before arriving in Thailand.
