Crew change update

Here is the latest update and additional requirements for on-signers effective from 1 September:


  • Crew who will board the vessel at Japan ports are required to be tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hrs prior to departing from original country.
  • The “Certificate of Testing for COVID-19” must be completed and certified by doctor. Form can be downloaded from link below.
  • Arrival passenger must have original hard copy of this document upon arrival at airport and to be submitted to Quarantine office in airport.

This is effective 1 September - passenger who arrives at Japan airport at 0001hrs LT 01 September or later will be applicable. The completed certificate must be provided to the agent once available via email. From 1 September, only COVID-19 positive personnel will be refused entry to Japan and isolated at an authorised facility. Other crews from the same batch will be released if their test result is negative.
