Crew change and immigration formalities only allowed at authorised Immigration Posts

The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Ahmedabad, has issued an update regarding immigration activities at marine check posts in Gujarat. The key points are as follows:

1. Current Status: Hazira and Pipavav marine check posts have been declared authorised Immigration Posts as per Gazette No. 5135 dated 20.12.2025. Sikka, Tuna, and Dahej are expected to be authorised soon.

2. Restrictions on Non-Notified Posts: Immigration activities at non-notified marine check posts without proper authorisation and Immigration Control System (ICS) are prohibited due to national security concerns. Offline immigration at such posts is not allowed.

3. Temporary Arrangements: Crew members at non-notified posts like Salaya, Okha, Muldwarka, Veraval, Navlakhi, Jaffrabad, Dahej and Hazira must sign-on/sign-off at the nearest authorised ICPs. Temporary permits for shore leave or medical emergencies may be granted by the State Government on the recommendation of the FRRO/FRO concerned.

4. Foreigners Order 1948 Compliance: Foreigners can only enter or exit India at designated ICPs. Short-term permits (up to 12 hours) may be issued for activities like shopping or purchasing medicines, while Temporary Landing Permits (TLP) for medical emergencies can be granted for up to 15 days.

5. Documentation Requirements: All foreigners must possess valid national passports or internationally recogniSed travel documents for entry or exit.

Authorities are advised to ensure strict adherence to these guidelines to safeguard national security and streamline immigration processes.
