COVID-19 outbreak prevention methods

In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, here at National Grid Grain LNG we are taking every possible precaution for the safety of your crewmembers and our terminal staff when interacting during your stay alongside our facility. To assist in reducing the risk we appreciate your co-operation in adopting the following special procedure on arrival and during your stay.

All Terminal Staff/Ships Crew are to maintain their distance as far as practicable during the manifold connection and safety meeting.

The route to and from the Ship’s Cargo Control Room is to be via open deck as much as possible.

Customary hand shaking greeting is not to take place.

Hand Sanitiser is to be made available for use prior to the Ship/Shore meeting commencing and for the technician setting up your radio communications and mooring line laptop monitor in the CCR.

Only Essential Personnel will attend the Ship/Shore Safety Meeting and is to be held in a suitable size room to allow safe distancing between personnel please ensure table work surfaces are sanitised prior to commencement of the meeting. No other personnel to be permitted access to the room whilst the meeting is in progress.

Offers of Food or Drink will be politely declined.

Smoking is not permitted at the Ship/Shore Safety Meeting.

The Ships Agent is to proceed directly to the Master’s designated room and not to attend or be present during the Ship/Shore Safety Meeting.

Only on/off signers and essential maintenance personnel allowed to access/visit the vessel through the terminal.
