Construction of viaducts

For approximately 11 months, marine works involving the construction of viaducts [between Hong Kong International Airport & Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port] will be carried out within the following Works Areas:

WORKS AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 19.002'N / 113° 56.629'E
(B) 22° 18.994'N / 113° 56.671'E
(C) 22° 18.949'N / 113° 56.662'E
(D) 22° 18.957'N / 113° 56.618'E

WORKS AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (H) and the adjacent shoreline:
(E) 22° 18.918'N / 113° 56.830'E
(F) 22° 18.925'N / 113° 56.786'E
(G) 22° 18.970'N / 113° 56.795'E
(H) 22° 18.961'N / 113° 56.848'E

The works will be carried out by two dumb lighters and one special purpose vessel. One tugboat will provide assistance. Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

A working area of approximately 30 metres around the working vessels will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the working vessels.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours daily. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.
