Construction of jetty at Pulau Ayer Chawan, Jurong Island

With effect from 25 Oct 2019 to 24 Apr 2020, construction of a jetty at Pulau Ayer Chawan, Jurong Island will take place 24 hours daily (including Sundays and Public Holidays) within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

(A) 01 deg 17·281'N / 103 deg 42·101'E

(B) 01 deg 17·316'N / 103 deg 42·059'E

(C) 01 deg 17·363'N / 103 deg 42·098'E

(D) 01 deg 17·329'N / 103° deg 42·140'E

The craft involved will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

The construction of the jetty involves piling and concrete structural work. The safety zone is a circular area of 30m radius centered at the jack-up barge. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:

a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;

b) Maintain a proper lookout;

c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;

d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and

e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
