Construction & upgrading of barge jetty at Pulau Sebarok

From 30 November 2016 to 29 May 2017, construction and upgrading work will be carried out at the existing barge jetty at Pulau Sebarok.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.136 of 2016, the works will be conducted from 0800 to 2200 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 12.420'N / 103 deg. 47.469'E
2) 01 deg. 12.471'N / 103 deg. 47.448'E
3) 01 deg. 12.488'N / 103 deg. 47.487'E
4) 01 deg. 12.437'N / 103 deg. 47.509'E

A crane barge assisted by the tugs will be used for the construction and upgrading of concrete works and installation of jetty structural elements. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft of the work.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
