Commissioning of OR-II Berth

Visakhapatnam’s OR-II berth is now commissioned and opened for berthing and cargo handling operations.

According to the Visakhapatnam Port Authority Circular No.1876, the civil works related to the berth and manifold laying works have been completed, and the berth’s readiness for berthing and operations confirmed. Dredging in front of the berth has also been substantially completed.

To facilitate the balance controlled blasting and dredging works at OR-I berth, berthing and operational activities at OR-I shall cease and the berth will be handed over to the contractor for execution of the remaining works.

Stakeholders should schedule vessel nominations accordingly and carry out future operations at OR-II berth.
