All official institutions and banks in Turkey will be closed on Thursday 23 April due to the Children's Day public holiday. Advance arrangements for crew, spares, provisions, etc. should therefore be made in good time to ensure clearance and delivery to vessels. Some ports may be closed on Children's Day and fees for official services (pilotage, towage, mooring, customs) will be increased by 50%. Therefore, it is recommended to check with GAC Turkey before calling at any Turkish port. GAC Istanbul will be on duty during the holiday.
