Car carrier/RoRo shipping movements suspended

09 Aug 2019 / Port Kembla, Australia

Due to current high winds, car carrier/RoRo shipping movements at Port Kembla have been temporarily suspended.

The Port Authority is assessing bulk carrier ship movements against environmental conditions on a case-by-case basis to gauge if it is safe to proceed or to delay arrival/departure until more favourable conditions prevail. Conditions are being continuously monitored to enable resumption of shipping as soon as possible.

The anchorage presently remains open to shipping.
