31 Oct 2016 / Panama Canal, Panama
The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has reassessed the current prohibition for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers to receive bunkers while in the anchorages of the Panama Canal. Effectively immediately, LNG vessels will be permitted to receive bunkers only within the Explosives Area of the Pacific Anchorage on a space-available basis, after coordination with ACP’s Flamenco Signal Station.
These bunkering operations shall not interfere with the vessel’s schedule to transit the Canal.
