Anchorage designated for STS operations & husbandry

Muar port anchorage has been officially designated for Ship-To-Ship (STS) operations and vessel husbandry matters including bunkering, tank cleaning, deslopping, maintenance and other husbandry matters which involve short term anchorage stay while waiting for orders.

Port dues will be applicable for the vessels calling at Muar anchorage, with exceptions applicable for:
- vessels owned by the Government of Malaysia;
- naval vessels;
- vessels calling solely for the purpose of seeking medical aid, disembarking sick or injured persons or vessels forced to seek refuse due to damage or force majeure;
- vessels licensed as below 20 gross tonnage;
- fishing vessels licensed under the Fisheries Act 1985;
- vessels calling solely for the supply of bunkers, water, stores and provisions or for engagement/discharge of crew for no more than 48 hours port stay.
