Following notification from the port authority, the anchorage at Port Kembla was closed to shipping at 1630 hours local time today (16 January), due to adverse weather.
All vessels at anchorage have been instructed to return back to sea, 12NM off port.
The port presently remains open to shipping/harbour movements.
