2020 tariffs

06 Mar 2020 / Australia

Towage and marine service provider Svitzer Australia has advised that public tariffs will escalate by an average of 2.8% nationwide with effect from 1 April. This average does not reflect the specific tariff increase per port.

A Booking/Cancellation surcharge has been introduced at most ports as follows:

  • ORDER / CANCELLATION -WITHIN TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS BUT GREATER THAN TWO (2) HOURS OF JOB COMMENCEMENT 50%

  • ORDER / CANCELLATION / AMENDMENT-WITHIN TWO (2) HOURS OF JOB COMMENCEMENT 100%

At the ports of Cairns, Lucinda & Mourilyan, there is no increase due to the towage licence being on a different time period. The tariff for these ports will be revised at a later date.
