19-day lockdown announced

28 Apr 2021 / Turkey

In light of the rapid spread of COVID-19 cases, the Turkish Government has announced a 19-day lockdown starting at 19:00 hours local time tomorrow (29 April) and ending at 05:00 hours local time on 17 May.

During the lockdown, all shore passes will be received back from all vessels as per Police Department instruction.

In such cases, persons who join a vessel as inspector, superintendent, etc and who stay at hotel during the vessels' shipyard period will have to stay onboard.

Further, loading/discharging operations, transit passages from the TS and husbandry operations (crew change, transportation, delivery of orders etc.) will not be effected between these days.

Note: Cash To Master notifications should be informed 5-6 days before instead of 2-3 days due to limited working hours at banks during lockdown.
