There will be an upcoming 12-hour (or less) channel closure in the area of the Head of Passes on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, from 0800 hours to 2000 hours that will effectively close the channel to all vessels intending to transit Southwest Pass.
This closure is scheduled to enable the removal of a submerged pipeline. The backup closure date will be Thursday, October 29, 2015.
