10-day ban starts

Libya’s Supreme Committee against the emerging Corona Virus has announced a total movement ban on vehicle movement starting today, Friday 17 April, for a period of 10 days. This was based on the high number of infections in the country.

Goods vehicles and ambulances are exempt. Individuals may walk alone between the hours of 8am to 2pm, adhering to safety procedures requiring the wearing of masks. Gatherings of all kinds are forbidden.
