TNL GAC Pindar delivers yacht mast from New Zealand to Finland

New Zealand – TNL GAC Pindar Ltd, a joint venture between specialist marine leisure logistics services provider GAC Pindar and global freight forwarder TNL International, has delivered a 49.4m yacht mast from Auckland, New Zealand to Jakobstad in northern Finland covering approximately 30,000km, for customer Southern Spars Ltd.

The journey started with a 210km road trip from Auckland to the Port of Tauranga, where it was loaded onto a ship for its 14,000nm-journey to Zeebrugge in Belgium. Another road trip covering some 2,500km arranged by the GAC Pindar team based in the United Kingdom followed, as the mast was trucked through five countries in Europe before reaching Jakobstad.

Richard Thorpe, Manager of TNL GAC Pindar – Australasia, says planning was crucial to ensure that all the logistics parties involved had the necessary experience and expertise, and were fully briefed.

“By working with the suppliers in New Zealand and Europe that both we and Southern Spars know and trust, our client had the peace of mind that everyone was on the same page and that the job would be executed smoothly.”

TNL GAC Pindar is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand. It serves Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, providing a complete package of solutions including yacht transportation, superyacht services, air, sea and road freight, agency services and specialist superyacht bunkering.
